Dr. Gabriel Jasper Remembered After 10:36 P.M. Adirondack Regional Airport Plane Crash Near Harrietstown
Dr. Gabriel Jasper, a 70-year-old spine specialist and pilot, died after a 1976 Piper Aerostar went down shortly after leaving Adirondack Regional Airport at 10:36 p.m.
The aircraft had climbed about 100 feet before communication stopped and it came down in a wooded area near Route 186 in Harrietstown, New York.
Gabriel was traveling with daughter Gabriella and 2-year-old granddaughter Guiliana after family time in the Adirondacks, with plans to return to New Jersey.
The loss reached loved ones and neighbors in Toms River and Forked River, where many knew Gabriel as a dedicated physician who helped people manage serious back pain.
Federal investigators continue to review the aircraft, conditions, and records as the community remembers three generations of one family with care and respect.
