Nnenne Chioma Amonu, 52, passed away on July 6, 2026, after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Daisy Amonu created a fundraiser on July 13, 2026, from Willingboro, New Jersey, to help bring Nnenne home to Nigeria and support funeral services in the United States and Nigeria.
The fundraiser had raised $1,720 of an $8,000 goal through 16 donations.
Family members described Nnenne as the heart of the family, a generous person of faith, kindness, and unconditional love.
Nnenne leaves behind devoted spouse Thompson Emeka Amonu, children Daisy, Ogechi, and Kelechi, and many relatives and friends.
The Amonu family hopes to honor Nnenne with a peaceful farewell surrounded by loved ones in Nigeria.
